Scandinavian Yachts Workum approaches the sale from a completely different perspective than an average broker. When selling it is important that you make an informed choice. We are happy to guide you through this process and look at the options together with you. It starts with advice. This is entirely without obligation. In the first instance we will make an appointment with you to view your yacht. We specialize in well-maintained yachts. It is important for us to see if the yacht to be sold fits in with our offer. It is also important to determine the selling price. If there is an agreement from both sides, we will make agreements about mediation. These agreements are laid down in a brokerage agreement, so that you know where you stand. It is very important that the VAT documents of the yacht are present, so a sales invoice on which the VAT is stated, or a VAT declaration. This is a condition for us to be able to mediate a yacht.

You can simply use your yacht in the summer. It is better for a yacht if everything stays in operation. We do appreciate it if you bring your yacht to Workum for winter storage, so that anyone interested can view it. If you do not sail with it in the summer, you can always bring her to Workum and we will set her aside. We always have a number of the ships that we have in mediation at our premises. Especially in the summer there is heavy traffic for our company and then they are nicely in view. Of course there is the possibility to park your ship inside.

For us it is very important that both the current and new owner are satisfied. We do not only sell a yacht, but our approach is to enter into a long-term relationship with the customer.

Since Scandinavian Yachts Workum is an all-round water sports company, we also have the option of adapting a yacht entirely to the wishes of the new owner. This certainly also has advantages during the sale. A buyer always has ideas how his future yacht should be equipped. You can think of:

• replacement or addition of navigation equipment
• installing a bow thruster
• repair teak deck
• spraying the yacht or rushes
• adjust sailing wardrobe

We can then immediately make a suitable quotation. Then the buyer knows what additional costs will be added. Our knowledge and extensive experience enable us to make a fairly accurate estimate of the maintenance condition of the yacht offered. It is not pleasant if you are still faced with unexpected costs after purchase. This new method leaves the new owner with a yacht that suits him completely.

We guide both buyer and seller throughout the entire process, so before, during and after the sale.

On our own website you will find all yachts that we have for sale. Through our contact form you have the possibility to request more information. If there are specific questions, we often contact the interested person by telephone. We can then provide detailed information about the yacht in question and invite those interested to visit.

The big advantage of the internet is that you can always find your yacht, both in the Netherlands and abroad. People search, inform, compare and find the right yacht simply via the internet.

In addition, we also advertise in the various magazines and participate in used boat fairs. We also reach a lot of people via Facebook.
